Bing

This guide walks you through collecting the required tracking IDs for Bing and configuring them in Beetle Tracking to enable server-side tracking. By setting up Bing server-side tracking, you ensure precise tracking of your ad campaigns, even when browser-based tracking is incomplete.

Obtain your Bing UET Tag ID

Step 1.Log in to Microsoft Ads:

  1. Visit Microsoft Advertising and log in to your account.

Step 2. Navigate to Conversion Tracking:

  1. In the Microsoft Ads dashboard, click on Tools in the top navigation bar.
  2. Select UET Tag from the dropdown menu under the Conversion Tracking section.

Step 3. Create or locate your UET Tag:

  1. If you haven’t already created a UET (Universal Event Tracking) tag, click Create UET Tag and follow the prompts:
    • Provide a name for the tag.
    • Optionally, add a description to identify it later.
  2. Once created, the Tag ID will be displayed. Copy the Tag ID — you’ll need this for the Beetle Tracking setup.

Step 4. Create Conversion Events (Optional):

  1. To track specific actions (e.g., purchases, sign-ups), go to Tools > Conversion Goals.
  2. Create a new conversion goal and note the Goal Name and parameters.

Additional information

You can add additional platforms to Beetle Tracking at any time. To do this, simply follow the same steps outlined in the final configuration process for each new platform you wish to integrate.

Important: Whenever you make changes in your Beetle Tracking plugin, be sure to click “Push Settings to Cloudflare” to ensure your updates take effect and are synchronized with Cloudflare.

Tip: Verifying tracking script integration

Please note that tracking script integrations for all platforms, including Meta, LinkedIn, Google Ads, and others, cannot be reliably verified using default browser widgets or testing tools.

This is because the scripts are loaded asynchronously through Cloudflare, making them invisible to traditional browser-based verification methods.
